North Branch Design is a Chicago-based Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) Certified Architecture and Interior Design practice committed to turning ideas into one-of-a-kind spaces. We collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, push the boundaries of initial concepts, and create thoughtful, individualized designs. Our work is grounded in strong relationships, open communication, and a passion for detail—resulting in spaces that are both functional and uniquely personal.
Principal and founder Jacquie Clarke is a Licensed Architect and Certified Interior Designer with degrees in Interior Design (University of Missouri) and Architecture (University of Michigan). Her love for design began on construction sites with her grandfather who was a general contractor and has grown into a user-focused practice rooted in biophilic design —an approach that prioritizes the connection between people and nature.
With over a decade of experience across project types—ranging from higher education, multifamily, and senior living to restaurants, retail, and residential design—Jacquie brings versatility, creativity, and technical knowledge to every project, regardless of scale or budget.
